Maakt de boom die valt geluid?

Er staat al een tijdje een interessante vraag op de blog van Paulo Coelho:
What do you think about this question taken from the Zen tradition : ” if a tree falls in the middle of a forest and there’s no one near by : does it make any sound?”
Lezers hebben op deze vraag leuke en soms ook originele antwoorden gegeven. Mijn antwoord luidt als volgt:
No, the tree does not make a sound. This question is not about sound, but about what a tree really is, the essence of the tree. The essence of the tree is about stillness,consciousness, presence. So no, what the tree really is does not make a sound. Funny isn’t it?
